SIMPLY THE BEST WINES ON SHOW AT WINEX
The RMB WineX Best-Wines-on-Show ballot has consistently proved itself the most striking and accurate touchstone of the public perception of wine quality. Conducted as an exit poll by a team interviewing visitors to every WineX show since 2003, it reveals a remarkable overlap between taste appeal and producer reputation. It also defines trends in the wider consumer market and serves as a guideline to wine fashion.
At the 2010 RMB WineX in Cape Town the leading names emerging from a poll covering close to 600 responses are listed below. Once again the two key features of this result are the recognition accorded to some of the country’s best known and most highly reputed cellars, as well as the ongoing popularity of the heavily-oaked Pinotage style.
