Second trip down aisle for Rantseli
Gerry Rantseli is getting married to her Canadian boyfriend Kerry Elsdon later this month. The nuptials will be held at the picturesque Vrede en Lust wine estate near Franschhoek, outside Cape Town.
Gerry divorced her husband of 10 years, musician Alex Rantseli, last November and moved in with Elsdon, chairman of Daimler Chrysler financial services in South Africa. Asked for comment on Friday, the former TV presenter confirmed she was getting hitched.
"Yes I am getting married, but I am not prepared to give you any details," was all she was willing to say.
Gerry and Elsdon have been open and about their love, attending social events such as the recent Audi Joburg Fashion Week together.
The wedding gown has been designed by Johannesburg-based Norman Callan and the guest lists includes some of Gerry's closest friends, including Dali Mpofu, Basetsana Kumalo and Pulane Kingston. Kingston the daughter of Health Minister, Manto Tshabalala-Msimang is the matron of honour.
Meanwhile, Gerry's ex-husband Alex, has confirmed he has also found love again. His girlfriend, Yolanda Gudla, is graduating from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth with a business degree this month.
"God is good and loves us all. I have someone I met the day after my divorce went through last November…She's crazy about me. That Gerry is getting married is a non-issue. Our relationship lived its course, I just hated the way it ended."
