Vrede en Lust has a rich history, spanning well over 300 years. As part of our commitment to preserve this heritage, a research project, conducted by Romi Boom was commissioned, resulting in a book entailing the history of the farm throughout the generations.
We welcome any additional information, including stories, photo's and facts, that you may have to contribute.
There is also a very interesting perspective of the history of the valley and in specific its slaves on Cape-Slavery-Heritage
