Classic 2005 1.5L Magnum in a Wooden Box
The Classic is a ‘Bordeaux style blend’ and is made from vineyards from our Vrede en Lust farm on the slopes of the Simonsberg. The wine was matured for 14 to 16 months in 225L French oak barrels, followed by 24 months in the bottle ahead of release. The result is an elegant, food friendly, noble blend that is accessible upon release and with the capacity to improve and mature over the years. This wine was originally prepared as our Reserve ’05.

The most structured, elegant and complex of our wines, this ‘Bordeaux blend’ possesses finesse and ageing potential.
Created for the more serious wine connoisseur, our Reserve range aims to reflect our Simonsberg-Paarl terroir using grapes from selected vineyard blocks.
Complex fruit and wood balance comes through on the nose and palate. This is the best wine produced from Vrede en Lust’s 2003 harvest.
