Vrede en Lust has developed a comprehensive wine club offering that should suit and reward the broadest range of our valued clients. The discount level depends on how often you want us to send you a case of wine: Quarterly or Bi-annually. Our WineClub has been highly successful but open only to South African residents.
Now we have tailored a special club for our valley’s special ‘Swallow’ community! We understand that our normal shipment dates do not fit into your local residence schedule. We also know that you love the local wines and enjoy them often while here. The Swallows Club’s shipping schedule is tuned to your Southern summer stay needs.
The Vrede en Lust Swallows WineClub offers only 1 level of membership: Swallow, which is on par benefits wise with our Vintage level membership. The Swallow Level members will receive a selection of 12 wines, based your wine preferences, sent to you twice a year (start of December and early March).

The wine shipments
There are 5 wine preference options to choose from:
- Seasonal: We will select a case of wine based on the time of year and seasonal preferences. E.g. Our December shipment is likely to contain more white wines for summer enjoyment while the March shipment will contain a balanced red wines & white wine selection for late summer consumption.
- Mainly White Wine: We will select a case of wine for you taking new releases and the time of year into account, but the selection will contain 9 bottles of white wine and 3 bottles of red wine.
- White Wine Only: For the lover of white wines, the selection will only contain white wines.
- Mainly Red Wine: We will select a case of wine for you taking new releases and the time of year into account, but the selection will contain 9 bottles of red wine and 3 bottles of white wine.
- Red Wines Only: For the lover of red wines, the selection will only contain red wines. Some will be vintage selections and others new releases.
The wine selections will always include wines that have just been released and WineClub members will always receive an allocation of our very limited release wines that are only available directly from Vrede en Lust.
Included with each shipment you will receive detailed tasting notes for the wines selected as well as food pairing suggestions from our top chefs at the Cotage Fromage. You will also be able to order of your favourite wines at the same discount and free delivery to the major centers in South Africa.
