Artisan Malbec/Petit Verdot
Grapes were carefully hand picked at optimal ripeness. Wine was aged separately and blended prior bottling to create optimal harmony. Only 10 barrels were made. The Wine was aged in barrel for 18 months. 30% New French oak barrels was used.
Rich and vibrant concentration of berries and cherry flavors on the nose. The same character leads to the palate with intense cherry tobacco flavors and leathery undertones. This creates a perfect blended balance with a persistent and plush finish.
The wine was fermented in 225 liter barrels and matured on fine lees for 9 months prior to bottling. Both chenin and semillon are from our Elgin blocks. The wine underwent no malolactic fermentation.
