The Vrede en Lust Artisan Range is an exclusive range of carefully handcrafted wines, made in very small quantities exclusively for our Wine Club Members. For this range the winemakers are encouraged to experiment with different styles and winemaking techniques using small batches of site specific grapes.
The labels are reproduced from Karlin’s own handwritten versions of the labels. The first Shiraz crop from Elgin vineyards was harvested in 2010, which was a 5-barrel run under the Artisan range.

Tasting Notes
The Syrah is expressive in the cooler climate aroma profile and showcases the under-toned spice and herb profile, lined with elegant tannins. Lighter and more elegant in style, this wine is layered with red fruit aromas and has spicy notes of black pepper.
