Embark on a sensory journey of discovery when you take a seat for one of our wine tasting experiences whilst enjoying the panoramic views of the Simonsberg Paarl mountains.
Our professional and knowledgeable tasting ambassadors, better known as the Red Ladies, will guide you through our range of wines.
Our entire farm is run on sustainable energy, vinified by the sun.

At Vrede en Lust, we’ve paired five of our wines with artisanal cheeses from Dalewood Fromage, the family-run creamery a short drive away on the slopes of the Simonsberg. It’s a celebration of two crafts rooted in the same corner of the Cape Winelands. Each pairing has been chosen to bring out something new in both glass and cheese.

A Tour of Two Terroirs, in colour and texture.
Our wines come from two very different places: the sun-warmed slopes of Vrede en Lust and the cool mountain air of Casey’s Ridge in Elgin. In this pairing, a handcrafted bon bon sits alongside each wine. Its colour tells you about the climate the grapes grew in, and its texture hints at the land itself. Take a sip, then a bite, and see how each farm shows up in the glass.

Two family-owned businesses, one shared love of doing things by hand. Vrede en Lust is rooted in more than 350 years of heritage, and our wines carry the character of this land. The Wedgewood family brings the same care to every bar of nougat they make. We’ve brought the two together in five pairings, from almond and macadamia to cranberry and strawberry in dark chocolate. Sweet, nutty and made with heart, it’s a new way to discover every glass.

Explore the story behind our two unique properties, delve into the heart of our cellars with a guided tour, and savour a selection of 7 exquisite wines presented by one of our knowledgeable Red Ladies.
